Yesterday afternoon after playing in her indoor pool (our bathtube), I was cleaning up and let Ava watch an Elmo video. I looked in on her and saw that she had found her pool tube and was holding on to it. She spent a good part of the video, laying on it and sitting with it. It was so funny that I had to share these pictures!

Ava's indoor pool!
An indoor pool you ask??? Well for Ava anyways! Today was really, really hot! With the heat comes thunderstorms. Ava and I were playing outside and it was hot and humid. I was about to fill her little outside pool up for her to swim. Then it started thundering, so I did the next best thing. In our master bathroom we have a garden tub, and it was the perfect size for Ava to splash, float and have fun. A bonus is that there were no bugs to bother us either while we were inside! Ava had a great time in her indoor pool!
Lunch with Mommy at Wendy's
Ava and I had a big day! We started the day playing at Jump It's with Aunt Lisa and cousins Kate, Isaac and Nathan. Jump Its is a indoor bouncey place. Then it was time for lunch so Ava and I had a yummy lunch at Wendy's. Ava REALLY liked the Frosty! After eating at Wendy's we went on and had fun at our Gymboree class!

Watch out Partridge Family!
Ava had a special treat yesterday! Hudson came with Grammy and Doc to spend the night at Me-Me and Bob-Bob's house. He got to have a super, special treat of a "big boy" trip to the GA aquarium. Ava and I came to visit yesterday to play with Hudson. The two cousins had a blast together making "beautiful" music together!

Kristian Stanfill - Jesus Paid It All
Press pause on my playlist on the right side of the screen before you view this video. I love this song!! It is the Gospel pure and simple. I pray that it will encourage any one who visits my blog today. I also pray that when Ava is older she can look at it and know that your parents love the Lord Jesus with all their hearts, souls, mind and strength!

Slip and Slide Fun!
Ava loves the sprinkler, hose, and little pool. Her favorite thing is to run through the sprinkler! Well, the sprinkler we have is an old, metal one; which is a trip to Kennestone Hospital in the waiting! I was on the search for a kid friendly sprinkler. Yet, all I could fine was either Spiderman or Buzz Lightyear...not appropriate for a cute little girl! Since most of the stores like Walmart and Target are having huge sales on summer stuff I found this super cute Ariel slip and slide for only $6!! It is a perfect combo of a little pool and sprinkler...problem solved.

Fantastic Friend Weekend!
So what did ya'll do?? That is what Adam asked me when I got home. Well, since we are all very busy stay at home moms, who rarely get to finish a cup of coffee...we sat on the porch of the lake house and just drank coffee and talked. On Friday night we arrived and sat on the porch (even though it was about 90 degrees). Later on Friday night we went to eat at Fatz cafe (yummy) and then went and watched ECLIPSE!! It was so good! Then we came back sat on the porch and chatted until after midnight! Saturday morning we all slept late....7:30am !! We then sat on the porceh for 3 hours talking, laughing and drinking a pot and a half of coffee! After a short time of sun bathing, lunch at Subway and then we had to say goodbye. Even though it was a short trip it was a FANTASTIC one!!

Yeah for the water hose and sprinkler!

OOOH! I this water hose too!
This evening while Ava and Mommy were waiting to welcome Daddy home from work, Ava started playing in the mulch and got her hands and feet dirty. So Ava and I went over to the water hose to wash off the dirt. Ava loved splashing in the hose but then all of a sudden sat down in the wet, muddy grass. So I figured why not. Ava started splashing in the hose and enjoying getting cooled off. Then Daddy came home and set up the sprinkler and that is where the fun began. Who cares if her clothes got soaked and a little muddy...that is why they make play clothes. It was a great day to end a summer day!
