Head, shoulders, knees and toes!

AJ was excited about coming over to play

Ava's pink car is helping her learn to walk

Wow! It was a beautiful day today! Ava had a great time playing outside in her sandbox, swing, slide and pushing her pink car walker around. Ava's buddy AJ came over to play too. Ava and AJ playing together for almost two hours, so hopefully they will be worn out tonight! Of course, mommy is a little over protective and made Ava wear her hat and sunscreen outside. Ava loved her new sandbox and really loved the feel of the sand. Ava and Mommy are super excited that Spring has come to GA so they can play outside!

I can be a helper, a helper!!!

Safety first...right!

I can be a helper, even if I am little!

Daddy, do you need this document?

Yes...what do you need me to do?

JW Cooler Company's newest employee!
Ava loves being a little helper. The other day she basically climbed into the dish washer to help Mommy unload the dishes! Then on friday when Ava and Mommy went to have lunch with Daddy, Ava "helped" Daddy with his work!! Ava is drooling alot lately because she is getting some new teeth, so she wears a bib alot, in order to save her clothes.

Surrounded by 10,000 angels!

This picture is a fan favorite!

2nd Kings 6:16-17

16."Don't be afraid," the prophet answered. "Those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 17.And Elisha prayed, "O Lord, open his eyes so he may see." Then the LORD opened the servant's eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha."

Everyday I pray a "hedge of protection" over Ava, Adam and I as we go along our day. I also know that my parents and my friends are praying me, Ava and Adam too. I always knew that I had "10,000 angels" surrounded me but I was reminded of just how real that is today. This afternoon Ava and I were leaving Wal-Mart with groceries, presciption and some special suprises for Adam, when something incredible...may I say miraculous happened. As I was getting the bags in the car, buckling Ava in her carseat and putting the stroller in the trunk, a van pulled up in the parking spot right beside my car. It was one of those white utility vans, with no windows, that "chester, chester, child molester" drives! I looked over and saw a "sketchy" looking guy driving the van and looking suspiciously at Ava and I. My heart started pounding as I quickly closed the trunk, slammed Ava's door closed, jumped into my seat and locked the car doors, which took all about 2 seconds! In my panicked state I cried out to the Lord, "send your 10,000 angels down to protect me and my precious Ava!" As I hurriedly pulled out of the parking space I looked over once again at the "scary man in the white van", and his eyes were wide and looked like he had seen a ghost. Well, I believe like Elisha's servant, God opened his eyes just for a moment to see that me and and Ava were guarded by my God's mighty angels!! For I know that my Redeemer lives...He is my Rock, My Strength and My Protector!!

Mommy's little helper

Ava loves to help mommy load and unload the dish washer! I like the help and the entertainment because doing the dishes is my least favorite chore. When Ava sees me with the dishwasher open she quickly crawls over and wants to be part of the action!

Fun at Kidstock

Big girl at the playground

Ava and Ashliegh Noelle having fun

Brooklyn enjoyed the swing

Miss Becky joined in on the fun
Mommy and Ava met Miss Becky, Ashliegh Noelle and Brooklyn at Kidstock today. Kidstock is this super cool play ground at First Baptist Woodstock. I almost cried when Ava and I were at Kidstock. While I was on staff at FBCW I helped design Kidstock, so it was surreal for me to now be playing on it with my child. Oh how the world goes around and around. It reminded me today to do everything I do each day to the best of my ability. You never know when what you do today may bless your life in the future.

Happy St. Patrick's day

Finding my favorite book to read

Polar Bear, Polar Bear

Ava has learned to turn the TV on by herself!

Can you hear me now?

Cruising around the furniture

Yeah, I love PBJ sandwiches

Putting the PBJ sandwich on the graham cracker

Ava made a St. Patrick's Day picture

I just love her sweet little face!

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY! Ava worn her green today so that she would not get pinched! Today Ava celebrated Saint Patty's day by making a finger painting and trying a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for the first time. Since Ava sometimes has texture issues, I squished the sandwich on a graham cracker and she ate it up. Lately Ava is doing some major "cruising" around the furniture in the house. She will also walk around if me or daddy are holding her hands. She has not gotten brave enough yet to take any steps by herself but I am sure that is soon to come. Ava has also learned how to turn on and off the TV in the den, but we only play that a game a few times and then I usually have to close up the TV in the entertainment center. At night when we are getting Ava ready for bed, she will crawl over to her book box in her room and look at her books while we make her bath and bottle. Ava loves books and will "tell" the story to herself as she flips through the pictures

A weekend of ups and downs

Poor McClellen and her little splint

Hudson loves his baby cousin Ava

Ava "reading" her Bible
This weekend Adam, Ava and I went to Greenville to help Grammy and Doc unload and reset up the lake house. They have been doing a huge remodel of the lakehouse. The lakehouse turned out beautifully! On Saturday while Adam and I were at the lakehouse Brad and Carri were at the emergency room with McClellen. As they were walking out of the house, Carri tripped on the stairs while carrying McClellen. When Carri fell, she broke her tail bone and McClellen ended up having a fractured leg. When we all got back to Grammy and Doc's house, Hudson came over and played with Ava in the afternoon so that Brad and Carri could take care of McClellen. Hudson even stayed over night at Grammy and Doc's house and Ava was excited that Hudson was still at the house when she woke up on Sunday morning.

Open Gym day witn AJ

Ava and AJ playing with the 3-sided mirror

Row, Row, Row your boat

Today at Gymboree was open gym day! They also had a special going on today that let one friend come free. So mommy and Ava called AJ and Miss Sarah to join us for open gym play time. Aj sort of did his own thing and Ava did her own thing, but they did play together a little bit. They played in the 3-sided mirror, in the wooden boat and on the teeter toter. Ava did show her fiesty side today, which may I say hilarious! In the waiting area of Gymboree, there is a little activity cube that the children play with while you wait for the doors to open for their class. As we waiting for open play to start, Ava was playing with the activity cube and a little girl about two years old, came over and tried to get in the spot where ava was playing. So Ava stuck her arm out to block the little girl and then when that did not work she pinched the little girl...twice! Of course I told Ava it was not nice to pinch (though I was laughing on the inside). Then as Ava and I were getting ready to leave Gymboree, Ava was again playing with the activity cube. When a little boy came up and tried to play where Ava was playing. This time Ava pushed the little boy down! I am glad that Ava is sticking up for herself but I we may need to work on not hurting other children!
