Oh southern weather why do you tease us?? Growing up in the South I am used to "fake spring". That is the glorious, wonderful weather we get, usually at the end of January or beginning of Februay. It tricks us into thinking Spring is just around the corner, when in reality by the end of the week it will be back in the 40's! But today was an absolutely beautiful day...almost in the 70's!
Ava had a great time outside in the beautiful fake spring weather. She played in her sandbox, played on the swing, slide, and on her many riding toys outside! Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the great weather too. Even though it will be back to winter weather by the end of the week, it was so nice today to enjoy being outside!

Snuggle time with Daddy...Ava missed her Daddy!

What a super fun weekend! Ava and I went to Greenville to celebrate Grammy's birthday. The weekend started with some super fun at a jumpy place with Hudson and McClellen. Then today, Saturday, Grammy had her birthday at Chuck E. Cheese. It was so much fun! I was a little worried about Chuck E. Cheese, because Ava gets a little overwhelmed sometimes, but she had a great time! After the party, we went back to Grammy and Doc's house for cake and ice cream. Also, break through, Ava ate some birthday cake...which is a big step. Ava is so blessed to have an amazing Grammy and we love her so much!

My Little Fashionista

Cheesing for the camera

Working on the computer

Check out for leg warmers
After four days of being housebound because of the snow, minus a short trip on Thursday for 2 year old pictures and lunch a Chick fil a with Grammy. Ava and I got out today for a fun morning of Dac Kids and Wendy's nuggets with great friends. The last few days, we have pretty much been in comfy clothes, so this morning we both put a little more effort in our looks. As I was cleaning out Ava's closet and draws, I thought this outfit she has on would be just perfect to wear to see her little friends. I put her in the outfit today, because I knew it was not a Sunday school or MMO outfit, way too many layers and pieces of clothes. Enjoy the preciousness!

Let it Snow....again!

Sledding down the driveway!

Ready to play in the snow...again!

Yeah, for Grammy getting to play with us!

Ahhh this snow is cold!

After the snow, it was snuggle time with Daddy

Yeah for another snow day! It was extra great because Daddy did not go into work today and Grammy was in town. We had a great time playing out in the snow...but it was cold! At our house, we got about 3-4 inches of snow and then a layer of ice! So we will be hanging near the house for few days. While staying in, Grammy and Mommy did some major organizing! Thankful tonight for family and a warm house!
PS. On the 2nd day of snow (Tuesday), we got to play outside a little longer because it was a little warmer and there was not alot of wind in the morning. Daddy got out his wake skate that he usually uses on the lake and we turned it into a sled. Boy did we go fast on the driveway that was covered with ice.

Yee-Haw!!

Fun times on my 4-wheeler

Mom! Why do I have to wear this dumb helmet

YEE-HAW!!

Here are just a few pictures of Ava enjoying her gifts from Santa. Even though it has been a little chilly outside, Ava has already enjoyed riding her 4-wheeler outside. She does not like wearing her helmet, but safety first! She has also gotten into riding her rocking horse and into horses in general.

Noah's b-day and NICU unexpected reunion

Katelyn and Ava, they were roomies in the NICU

Happy Birthday Noah!

The Felker family: Noah, Melissa and Jason

Ava helping Noah open presents

NICU friends: Allison and Katelyn, Abbey and Ava, Melissa and Noah

Ava had a super, duper time celebrating Noah's 2nd birthday this afternoon. Noah and Ava were in the NICU together. Melissa (Noah's mom) and I became good friends and prayer partners during our time in the NICU together. Many of you that read my blog prayed and prayed for Noah while Ava was in the NICU. Noah was born very early (24/25 weeks) and very tiny (just over one pound). Thank you for your prayers and concern, because today he is an amazing, healthy, active, funny little boy! A big surprise that Ava got today at the party was that one of her roommates, Katelyn was at the birthday party too. Ava and Katelyn were roommates for that about 4 weeks together. It was so great to reconnect with her and her wonderful parents, Allyson and Clay.
While at the party, I could not help but rejoice and praise the Lord! Just two years ago, these three little precious babies where fighting for life. Today they were running around, smiling, laughing, sliding, popping bubbles, and giving each other hugs. God is amazing and He has done great things in these children's lives!!

Becoming a Shining Star

On the way to church

Big girls can walk to class by themselves

I'm a Shining Star now!

4-wheeling in a smocked dress!
It was a big day for Ava today! Since she is now a big two year old, she was moved up to the two's class in Sunday School. The two's class at Cedarcrest is the Shining Star class, which Ava is a shining star! Ava was a little upset when we arrived at her new class, but settled down once she saw her buddies, Lyla, AJ and Caleb. When we got home from church, and while I was getting lunch ready, Ava road her new 4-wheeler around...in her smocked dress! I guess me trying to make sure she is a well-rounded little girl is working out, ha ha!
