I was given this pink plaid little skirt at one of my baby showers. When I recieved it, I thought that since it was a 12 month size that it would never fit her. Well, this Sunday morning it finally did, so of course I had to take some pictures. In college I was given the name "the Pink Princess", but once Ava was born, she is now the pink princess #2...and the tradition continues!

What a fun filled weekend I have had!! It all started on Thursday with a morning at the "All for Kids" consignment sale with Sarah. I found a great deal at the sale. One of Ava's most favorite toys that Ava plays with at Sunday School is the mirror/light, stand up toy. I had looked for it at several different consignment places and on line because it is not being made by Fisher Price anymore. Well, at the consignment sale on Thursday, I found it! I think I almost knocked down someone to get it, but a mama will do what she needs to do to make her baby girl happy. The fun continued on Friday. I met Grammy and Doc at the Mall of Georgia. The mall is about half way in between Acworth and Greenville. It was a great day of shopping, lunch and just getting to spend some great quality time with Grammy and Doc. Of course I always love it when I can spend my birthday with Doc, since we share the same birthday!! Finally on saturday, I had brunch in the morning with my "girls" at Henry's...YUMMY! Then on Saturday night Adam took me shopping, to a movie and then to dinner. In fact Adam helped me pick out a new bathing suit! I was going to pick out a tankini or a one piece and Adam's words were, "You may be a mom but you still have a hot body, so get a bikini!" HA HA, so being the "submissive" wife that I am, I got a super cute black and white suit.

One of Ava's favorite things to do is put things in her basket and then either dump the basket out or pull out the items. Well tonight she decided to cut out a step and just climbed into the basket to play!

Ava had a fun day in the sun today! After coming home from church, lunch and a 3 hour nap, Ava was ready to enjoy the beautiful weather. Mommy, Daddy and Ava played outside. Ava enjoyed snack time in the front yard, riding her pink car/walker, swinging and sliding down the slide. One great bonus about our house is that we have a great yard and the house came with a cool playset in the back yard. Mommy and Ava took a walk around the neighborhood and met our neighbors new Rottweiler puppy, Onyx. Again, Ava squealed and was not afraid at all of the dog. What a great day today!

Ava's favorite time of the day is bath time! In the evening about 6:30-7:00 she will crawl to the bathroom and wait for you to follow her. She loves to splash, kick and play with the faucet. She does not get upset when water is poured on her head. Mommy can't wait to see how she will react to the pool at Grammy and Doc's house this summer. One of Ava's good friends, Caleb had became a big brother. Caleb's little brother is Colby and mom and baby are doing great. Ava and mommy took Caleb's mom (Kristen) and dad (Chad) a yummy meal and a present for Colby. On Friday, Ava and Mommy met their friends Betsey and Harper and Rebekah and Emily at the park. All the mommies thought is was going to be a little warmer then it actually was...brrrrr! Ava enjoyed the swings and cruising around on some of the equipment. While at the park, Mommy and Ava were able to pet a Great Dane. The dog was huge and sniffed Ava with its big nose. Ava thought it was great and laughed out loud!

I have not posted pictures in a little while, so here are some new pictures of the fun that Ava has had so far in February. One of Ava's favorite things to do is go to Sunday School. She loves her teacher Miss Debbie and all the other volunteers that teach her about Jesus each Sunday. Thanks to Target having out their cute new spring clothes out early, mommy was able to get Ava her cute heart sweater. I will say that Ava's pink leggins were a little bit small on her on Valentine's day, but we had to match. Later on Monday, mommy went through Ava's closet and packed up the six month clothes because Ava is now in nine month clothes. One bonus of having a preemie is that Ava is finally wearing the 9 month size clothes that she recieved at her baby showers over a year ago. On Sunday morning when Ava woke up Daddy put Ava in her baby bassinet, to see how much she has grown over this past year. What a fun February it as been already and it is only half way over!

Ava and Mommy had a fun day today. We had a great morning and lunch at Me-Me and Bob-Bob's house. My cousin Lisa and her 3 kids met us there too and Ava had a great time playing with her 2nd cousins. On the way home it started to snow and by the time we got home there was about an inch/ inch and a half of snow on the ground. Once we got home we went outside and played in the snow a little bit.
