One year old check up!
Here are some fun pictures that I took of Ava tonight. I finally captured her great, make my heart melt, smile! She is also showing off her tool set that she recieved from her b-day. Daddy likes to work with a hammer and nails in make some great wood working. So Ava wanted to do it too!
At Ava's one year appointment she weighed 16.8 pounds and was 27..almost 28 inches long. She can now start drinking whole milk and get off formula (praise the Lord for the money we will save!). Also, she is now allowed to eat pretty much anything, which will make meal preparation easier. Ava now has two botton teeth and the top two teeth are starting to come in.
What an amazing, miracle year it has been! To God be the glory! Great things He has done!!

Are Ya Happy and You Know It?
Ava has learned the "motions" to "If You Are Happy and You Know It". Please ignore Mommy's beautiful singing and just enjoy watching Ava enjoying music time at home! It is so fun to see Ava growing, changing and learning each and everyday.
In order to watch the video and hear the words being sung, make sure you click the pause button on the play list. Then click on play on the video.

Fun in Ava's wagon
Yeah I love getting pulled around by Daddy!
What a fun wagon!
What a fun wagon!
Ava got this very fun wagon from Grammy and Doc for her birthday! She pulls up on it, puts her toys in it and takes it out and but her favorite is to ride in it! PS. Her cute Ava shirt was made by Grammy and has matching pants but she spit up a little bit on the pants, so we had to change.
A little boo boo
A little bruise on our forehead
Ava got her first real boo boo this week. She has started pulling up and she pulled up on the wooden coffee table. Right after she pulled up she reached for the remote control (which she is not allowed to touch), and let go of the table. She then fell forward and hit her head. She had a big cry, but after a hug, pacey and caterpillar she was okay.
As I comforted Ava, it reminded me of my relationship with God. He has set up rules and boundaries for me to follow, yet He still gives me free will to make my own choices. Sometimes in making my own choices, I am disobedient to God's word and God's plan. In my disobedience, I may experience physical, emotional or spiritual pain. Yet, God is faithful, loving and ready to comfort me. Even in my sin, God will welcome me back and give me a big hug and forgive me.

What a funny day it has been!
checking out the paper
So for her birthday and Christmas Ava recieved tons of very fun toys, yet today all she wanted to play with was the nuewpaper! It was so funny, she would shake it and tear it into little pieces. Tonight as I was getting Ava's dinner ready, she was playing in her new play area. I saw her pull herself up, holding on to her toy box. When I turned back around after putting her food together , she was flipped over in her toy box. The camera was right there and I just had to take the picture. Of course, I immediately put the camera down and rescued her!

What fun Ava had this weekend! She had her first birthday party at Gymboree. She played all her favorite games and celebrated with her family and friends! Even though is was chilly and icey outside, all of the her friends came to the party and had a great time. This weekend, Ava has decided that she likes to pull up and stand up by herself...Mommy and Daddy are in trouble. She will be walking before we know it!
